This Adidas Ajax third shirt from 2022-23 was created with Amsterdam fashion label Daily Paper. The predominantly golden base carries smoky black watermarks of nine Amsterdam street-football courts. A red-and-black vertical bar references the city flag and Ajax’s home stripe, while white shoulder stripes, crest and sponsor marks sharpen the finish.
Ajax faced Union Berlin in the UEFA Europa League knockout round play-offs. The first meeting ended 0-0 in Amsterdam. In the return, Union led 2-0 at half-time before Mohammed Kudus scored in the 47th minute; Danilho Doekhi restored the two-goal margin three minutes later. Union’s 3-1 victory sent Ajax out by the same aggregate score.
