This Macron AZ home shirt comes from the 2013-14 season. The red body is paired with white sleeves, creating the club’s familiar home colour balance. A striped red-and-white V-neck collar is echoed by coordinating sleeve trim, while Macron and AZ branding complete the chest. Its direct blocks of colour give the design a traditional appearance from an unusually long European campaign.

AZ reached the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals after coming through a group with PAOK, Maccabi Haifa and Shakhter Karagandy, then eliminating Slovan Liberec and Anji Makhachkala. Benfica ended the run with a 3-0 aggregate win, but the Dutch club had remained unbeaten through its first ten Europa League matches. AZ also began the season in the Johan Cruijff Shield and finished eighth in the Eredivisie before losing the European play-off final to Groningen.
