Neil Lennon's first full season in charge of Celtic in 2010-11 brought the club agonisingly close to the title, with Celtic remaining in the race until the final day before finishing second, just a single point behind rivals Rangers.
Celtic began the campaign with eight straight league wins and later thrashed Aberdeen 9-0 in a record SPL victory, while in the cups they reached the League Cup final only to lose 2-1 after extra time to Rangers. Lennon's rebuilt side did land silverware that season, however, beating Motherwell 3-0 in the Scottish Cup final to claim his first trophy in charge.
