The federation crest is positioned centrally, reinforcing the balanced layout of a design worn during Italy's UEFA Euro 2016 campaign.

Antonio Conte's Italy won their Euro 2016 group before defeating holders Spain 2-0 in the round of 16 through goals from Giorgio Chiellini and Graziano Pelle. The quarter-final against Germany finished 1-1 after extra time, with Leonardo Bonucci converting Italy's equalising penalty.
