Adidas created this long-sleeve Liverpool home shirt for the 2010-12 period. The all-red base carries gold Adidas shoulder stripes and matching gold trim, while white Standard Chartered sponsorship provides the main contrast across the chest. A traditional round collar and long sleeves give the design a classic shape. Fernando Torres' name and number 9 complete the back, placing the striker's familiar Liverpool identity on the final Adidas home design he wore before leaving the club in January 2011.
Torres joined Liverpool from Atlético Madrid in 2007 and scored 81 goals in 142 appearances for the club. During the first half of 2010-11 he added nine league goals, including both goals in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Anfield. His Liverpool spell ended when he moved to Chelsea on 31 January 2011. The home shirt remained in use the following season, when Liverpool won the League Cup and reached the FA Cup final under Kenny Dalglish.
