Adidas' 2014-15 AC Milan third shirt represents the club's alternative look from a season of change at San Siro. It sits outside Milan's red-and-black home tradition, giving the team a separate identity for selected fixtures. KAKÁ #22 appears on this example, referring to the Brazilian's celebrated Milan career. Kaká left the club in June 2014, before the 2014-15 league season, so the print should not be presented as a nameset he wore during that campaign.

Filippo Inzaghi became Milan's head coach for 2014-15 after his own celebrated playing career with the Rossoneri. The club was trying to rebuild following several seasons of transition and competed without European football. For supporters, the third shirt belongs to that transitional year, while Kaká's name recalls a different chapter: his role in the 2007 Champions League victory and his final season back at San Siro in 2013-14.
