Adidas' Ajax away shirt from 2015-16 offers a change from the familiar white-and-red home strip. The club crest and three-stripe branding identify it unmistakably as an Ajax design even away from Amsterdam. The MILIK #9 nameset on this example points to Arkadiusz Milik, then a central figure in the attack. The shirt's alternative colourway belongs to a period when Ajax used its away kits to step outside its tightly defined home tradition.

Frank de Boer's team spent the Eredivisie campaign competing for the title with PSV. Milik supplied important goals, and Ajax went into the final round top of the table. A draw against De Graafschap allowed PSV to take the championship instead. That painful finish remains inseparable from the 2015-16 season. The shirt recalls a young Ajax side that came exceptionally close to reclaiming the league title.
