This New York Cosmos home shirt from 2011-12 uses Umbro's understated approach to the club's white, green and yellow colours. A green neckline with yellow edging provides the strongest contrast, complemented by green sleeve cuffs and a green Umbro double diamond on the chest. The circular Cosmos crest supplies the other main focal point. Without a large front sponsor, the white body remains open and uncluttered, and the back continues the same simple treatment.

The Cosmos name is closely associated with Pelé's years in New York from 1975 to 1977. That earlier chapter helped establish the club's international identity. This later Umbro shirt belongs to a different era, while retaining the colours and crest associated with that well-known name in American football.
