Rangers reached the 2022 UEFA Europa League final after knockout ties with Borussia Dortmund, Braga and RB Leipzig. Joe Aribo put Rangers ahead against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville, Rafael Borré equalised, and the match finished 1-1 before Frankfurt won the shoot-out 5-4. Rangers beat Heart of Midlothian 2-0 at Hampden Park in the 2021-22 Scottish Cup final to lift the trophy.
