Kappa created this Royal Charleroi home shirt for the 2022-23 season. A black upper section meets broad black-and-white vertical stripes across the lower front, with gold trim around the collar and sleeve cuffs. Gold Kappa figures repeat down the sides, while the Charleroi crest, Unibet sponsor, Fujitsu and Cairox marks fill the front and shoulders.

Charleroi remained in contention for the Europe Play-offs late in the Belgian league campaign. A club preview for the following season records that the Zebras missed the play-off places by two points and finished level on points with OH Leuven. Felice Mazzù had returned during the season and oversaw an improved run of results, including a 1-0 away win over eventual champions Antwerp in March 2023.
