Spain's 2012-13 away shirt by adidas uses a light blue base crossed by a diagonal band of fine dark lines. Dark shoulder stripes, collar edging and sleeve cuffs frame the lighter body. The national crest adds a full-colour detail with a star above it, while the adidas mark sits on the opposite side of the chest. Torres and number 9 are printed on the back, giving the pale away design a clear connection to the Spanish striker.

Fernando Torres won the adidas Golden Boot at UEFA EURO 2012 after scoring three goals and providing an assist. Spain retained the European title with a 4-0 final victory over Italy, with Torres among the scorers. This away shirt belongs to that successful tournament period.
