This Adidas Spain home shirt comes from the 2012-13 international period and carries Fernando Torres's name and number 9 in yellow. The red body uses narrow tonal vertical stripes, yellow Adidas shoulder stripes and a navy collar with red-and-yellow trim. The Spain crest, Adidas mark and matching front number complete the design.

Torres won the adidas Golden Shoe at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup after scoring five goals. Four came against Tahiti and one against Nigeria, while Spain finished as tournament runners-up. The forward's scoring return helped Spain register 15 goals across five matches, giving the number 9 nameset a direct association with the competition's leading scorer.
